I recently had a distressing experience with Foothill Regional Hospital that I feel compelled to share. The facility lacks an
on-call doctor and relies solely on text messages to communicate with physicians. This system proved ineffective when we needed immediate help for my mother's fever and pain, as there was no timely response from the doctors. Additionally, the hospital does not seem to employ skilled nurses for IVs, and there was a shortage of essential equipment like a PICC line.

The hospital's disregard for patient satisfaction was evident throughout our stay. Not only are overnight stays with loved ones prohibited—regardless of their need for memory support—but there are also no available showers for patients, and no provision for sponge baths. The necessary medical studies and consultations have to be arranged from other facilities, leading to delays in care.

Due to inadequate medication, food, and overall attention, we had to transfer my mother to St. Joseph's Hospital. I strongly advise against choosing Foothill Regional Hospital if you value responsive, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
I forgot to mention the lack of cleaning since they have Cockroaches and flys on the rooms.

I had an awful experience at this medical center. I came in with what I would find out was Noro Virus and the staff was not helpful at all. Granted it was my FIRST time at an urgent care and so I was very nervous but I feel inclined to share about my experience.

The woman who took my blood was lovely and I wish I remembered her name because she was the only positive part of my 9 hour stay. My nurse was a man named Steve. He came in to give me an IV, a person who had never even had my blood taken before but if the doctor said I should have it I was more than willing to do anything to feel better. Steve came in and asked me what arm I would like the IV in and I said "well I just got my blood drawn in my left, so maybe my right to even it out? I am really nervous this has never happened to me" and I kid you not this nurse said word for word "If you hated getting your blood taken you are going to HATE this IV. Its a tube that I put in your arm and your body knows its not supposed to be in there, you are going to be in agony". I immediately refused the IV. since this visit I have had the experience of an IV for the first time and it was nothing like that so I have no idea why this nurse was trying to scare me. Maybe taking out his bad day on a young scared girl in the urgent care was amusing to him
The doctor came in for the first time after I was there for 5 hours and said "since you refused the IV I am just going to send you home, ill be back to give you discharge papers", which is fair, I don't know what else they could have done at that point either. I sat there for another 3 hours waiting for him to come back. Keep in mind I was in and out of consciousness and sickness throughout this stay.

anyways, I am now battling 3k in medical bills for nothing other than a traumatic experience. I realize medical professional's time is valuable, but you think their resources would be used more appropriately and on people who have more patience for patients. I hope it gets better for people who have no other option, but if you can, avoid this place.

I recently had a deeply frustrating experience at this hospital with my uncle’s care. The doctors seemed distant and didn’t make him feel comfortable at all. Neither our family nor my uncle could get to know the names of his doctors or nurses because there was a complete lack of communication regarding his care.
Despite having authorization to discuss his medical needs, we were constantly told to wait on hold or to ask again later, which is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the room was not cleaned properly, the bedding hadn’t been changed, and the TV didn’t work, after two weeks of asking for maintenance to take a look. moreover using medication for 3 weeks my uncle still hasn’t seen any improvement. This hospital's failure to communicate and maintain basic standards is utterly shocking. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and if able to i would give this hospital negative stars!

Pre op staff was amazing! Dr iqbal and his team took excellent care of Me. When I go to my hospital room the day nurse was great! However the room had holes in the wall. The room was hot I asked for a fan I never received. The overnight nurse ignored me for over an hour. Pushing call button several times to be told nurse would be right in. I was in a lot of pain and needed help to bathroom but nobody came. After that she took better care of me. However I could have been experiencing an emergency and nobody would have known. Overall good experience

Came here for extreme kidney stone pain. The nurses helped with my pain but I am frustrated with this place because I was admitted into the hospital from the ER Doctor saying they were going to do surgery. After waiting 7 hours to see the hospital doctor he said they didn’t have a urologist at this hospital and couldn’t do the surgery. I had to leave and go to another hospital and do the whole process all over again. I think the ER doctors should be informed what surgeries they can and cannot do there before admitting patients.

My father with Alzheimer's dementia was recently admitted. He also does not speak English. I called multiple times to speak with the doctor who was taking care of him and the nurse kept telling me she would send a message to him. He never called back. I also called the floor to get the status. I was on hold for a long time before I was told the nurse would call me back. She didn't call back. What was really unbelievable was that a case manager tried to discharge him to a skilled nursing facility due to his behavioral problems. Fortunately, his insurance didn't authorize it. The case manager also realized that his behavioral issues were actually his baseline. I don't understand how no one reached out when they had a demented patient they could not communicate with and then tried to send him to a nursing facility without discussing it with his family. I don't know why the staff didn't know he was demented since that was the reason he came to the hospital from a memory care! This review is getting a 2-star because I did speak with one PM shift nurse who took the time to explain how my father was doing.

Dr. Thomas was phenomenal. The best doctor I’ve ever had in an emergency room EVER. Nurse Lee - equally amazing. I felt cared about and they wanted to figure out what was wrong as much as I did. I was annoying and they still came every time I asked.
That was just emergency but once I was admitted. like they worked so fast even though they were so busy. I’m pretty much alone here in CA and this place made me feel like sick child being cared for by their mother.
Also shoutouts to Nurse Nicki and Nurse Eddy thank you!

I had bariatric surgery here on 7/10 and the nurses, surgical PA’s, doctors, bedside personnel, customer service personnel and my surgeons team were all wonderful. They helped me understand my PO plan, answered any and all questions. The overnight staff was great. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Thank you all so much for the attention, the laughs, the encouragement. I have had a great 1st week PO without any complications thanks to your directions and phone calls.
