Terrible selection of clothing and incredibly overpriced… sorry. Seems a bit like a tourist trap or for people who don’t know the value of clothes or have taste.

Edit: in response to the owner, I didn’t write this review in anger. I was recommended this store by a friend, and was disappointed by the selection of garments and the prices.

The person working in the store was friendly, my review is not a personal attack. I came all the way to the store by bus and found it to be a waste of time. Sorry!

Great selection of patches and rings! They’ve got some rad vintage clothes with good fabrics and new things too. I also got a pair of shoes that one of the owners designed! Very slick.

This little store is such a gem in the rough. Everytime I come to LA i make sure to visit and I always walk away with some of the most worn and coolest clothing I own. The owners are amazing people who have a passion for sustainability and are Trail Blazers in the space. They are also on top of fashion and knows what looks good on all different shaped bodies. I love east west shop.

East West Shop is one of the coolest and most unique stores in Chinatown and all of Los Angeles.

The store is owned and operated by an awesome couple, who care deeply about the community and are passionate about sustainability. As a society, we are producing too much and filling our Earth with trash. East West is trying to make a difference by saving and up-cycling perfectly good clothes. The store also offers a large selection of vintage and custom clothing. In addition, they have collaborations with local artists, who design t-shirts and other clothing for them. The store also carries other retail goods such as natural candles and soaps, some cool and unique jewelry, and even Palo Santo IYKYK!

As a long time resident of Chinatown, I am very grateful that the shop is in the community. I’ve purchased numerous items from store and they have made me look and feel better. Thank you East West Shop!!

It’s warm and friendly here and this is the ultimate in sustainable retail. The owner hand dyes garments from food wastes (avocado skins & pits, lemon peels) and other natural elements such as turmeric, eucalyptus, coffee, etc. Has garments & shoes made from excess fabrics that would otherwise go to the landfill or made into shop rags.

Great selection, so much cool stuff! Wide range of prices for what you’re willing to spend, but there’s all kinds of great pieces at any price. Most are recycled or handmade, lots of vintage. There’s also very cheap gorgeous pins & trinkets. Mr. Dennis is the nicest person to talk with, very friendly and made it a lovely experience. He even gave us some free seeds. I wish I could stay forever and I would come back any day, one of my favorite shops!! Also lots of yummy food in the plaza while you shop 🙂

Really cool recycled clothing brand. I especially love 5$3 Gentleman’s Fight Club line. I’ve met the owner a few times and he is cool and friendly. The shop has some nice accessories as well.

Visited yesterday and the person behind the counter went on a diatribe about unhoused people asking to use the shopping complex restroom and ended by describing them as “unsanitary and not sane”. Felt disgusted and left immediately, do not go here.
