Although the course is tough, being a home-based student with a full-time job, the course is well structured and the materials are well produced. Tutors give great in-depth feedback to help you move forward with each assignment and I'm really enjoying the course. BIG shout out to Andrea Martins and Joao in the Student Services team who are incredible. Thank you for your kindness and support in helping me reach my goals.

I enrolled on this course last October, I have passed two assignments so far. I work full-time which is why it’s taking me some time, but my Tutor Rita Marques has been very supportive and gives great feedback to enable me to complete assignments successfully. I enjoy creating the assignments, and the research is very interesting. The course layout has been updated, this feels more organised. You can also submit your work for feedback before final submission - which is great. Some assignments are quite challenging and it would be helpful if they provided more information for complex skills, for example to-scale-drawing. They do have some videos which I find extremely helpful.

My experience studying at the British Academy of interior design is very satisfying so far.
The website offers a library full of material for a better understanding of so many subjects. My tutor Rita is very helpful, always ready to answer to my messages and give advice about any question.
However the course requires a lot of time and dedication, the assignments take time if you want to complete in the best way to get a merit of higher grade. I can only say that it’s totally worth it! The course is engaging and really interesting. It’s very practical which is a good thing for me. I hope all my hard work will help me for a career change.

Even though I'm still in the process of submitting the assignments, I already see how beneficial my experience with the Academy has been and how it can help future students. The Academy's resources, like study tips and assignment guidelines, have given me a solid foundation to approach my work effectively. Plus, the feedback and support from mentors have boosted my confidence in tackling academic tasks. I believe future students can benefit greatly from engaging with the Academy early on to equip themselves with essential skills and knowledge for success in their study journey.

I've just started my journey as an Interior Designer and joined BAID as the programme ticked all the boxes I needed to learn. So far the process of home study is super flexible as I have no time to attend classes and have two kids to look after. This is ideal option for me.My tutor Rita is very patient and professional answering my "million" questions being new in this industry. So far I am enjoying studying here and hoping to get all the skills that Interior designer should have.

I chose this BTEC course because it is accredited and endorsed by Pearson, and I wanted to enrol for an online high-quality course, with career-focused qualifications grounded in the real world of work. I am not finished yet, but I have already begun to cultivate the rigorous knowledge and practical skills essential for an interior designer. I am happy with the approach, the course materials (the theory and videos) and my tutors. Their feedback are professional and consistent with my expectations for guiding me through the assignments. However, balancing the course with other commitments can be challenging and it is important to acknowledge that this course demands significant dedication! With each assignment being anywhere between 30 to 150 pages, it is crucial not to underestimate the amount of work, investment and hours that are necessary to achieve it.
Overall, it is a very rewarding experience!

Starting this journey wasn’t easy at all because I am more of an understanding student while in class. I took a leap of faith and started learning with British Academy Of Interior Design. It was tough getting around the units mostly the ones with drawings. I ain’t good at that but it has been getting better with the help of my tutor [Rita] who has given me the motivation when I truly need it. And we got a student group where we help each other not to feel alone. I recommend this academy because while the units may look hard, there is a lot of things to learn and make the job easier when you graduate. I am proud of myself that I took on this challenge and I can’t wait to see where it takes me. The last star ⭐️ will be added on after graduation ?.

Excellent value for money and quality feedback!
The course completely exceeded my expectations. I found the course to be exceptionally good value for money. For my £350 for the certificate course I had personalised, in-depth feedback for 5 full assignments, access to online materials for 3 years (written and video guides) and access to a forum which I continue to post on after qualifying. I agree with other reviews that doing a distance learning course means you have to dig deep for continued motivation at times and that there are in-depth assignments that are time consuming. However, I feel the investment of time has been completely worth it. There is also a lovely graduation ceremony to look forward to at the end of it for whatever level of course you have completed.

I would advise potential candidates to choose a course fitting for how they see themselves using their skills afterwards. For example, I am in the midst of setting of a holistic wellbeing and interior design business whereby considering the home's role in wellbeing is one facet of what I am offering (personal training, therapy, yoga, life coaching...). Therefore, being self-employed and using the interior design in this way means I didn't necessarily need as many CAD skills. However, I have been teaching myself SketchUP basics for 2D/ 3D floor plans.

My only constructive feedback for the BAID certificate course would be that some of the written course materials are a little dated in places and it would be helpful if they could include a little content on online marketing or offer a top-up workshop on this. However, I have completed CPD courses for my other professions that cost in excess of the price of this course and with nowhere near the level of attention that I felt I received from BAID. The tutors are always prompt to respond and kind in how they work with you. I only wish my university education had treated me as BAID has done. Other higher education providers should take notes 🙂 Thank you BAID. You have opened up a path for me which I could have only dreamt of a couple of years ago 🙂
