Extremely rude customer service- somehow my email address was attached to my grandmothers Eversource account when this collection agency took the debt over. They’ve been emailing me instead of my grandmother for who knows how long but I thought it was a scam so today I called to verify the information was true since my grandmother should never have had an Eversource account open and even if so, the information should not have been going to me what so ever, as I have never tied my email address to anything of hers. When I called to ask for more information the first rep I talked to tried to tell me that the information was true and I had no case to dispute after asking for them to go back to the Eversource. Being someone who doesn’t work in collections. I know I don’t know the technical terms for everything but this service rep treated me like she was talking to an idiot. When I would ask or reword a question because I didn’t think I she understood she would come back with the same answers. She told me I was wrong and I must’ve not known the whole situation. I’ve worked in customer service before I and I know it can be frustrating talking to customers but anyone who calls asking for information is a customer regardless of who you actually work for. This reps tone changed with me and she ended up starting to talk over me. I told her this is not how you talk to a customer and she told me I am not the customer. I am the person they are trying to collect a debt from for their customer. There was way too much back and forth between the rep and the person trying to collect information for the debt. At that point I told her to please put someone else on the phone because I was done talking to her. I told her the back and forth was childish and she was child, she returned the comment. I mocked her because I was annoyed with how she had been talking to me, I can admit I was also in the wrong at this point but a rep should never have let it get this far REGARDLESS. A different rep came on at this point and I was given the same attitude in less that 5 minutes just for asking them to request more information from Eversource and try to explain to me how this situation even happened because I shouldn’t have been the only one to know about this debt and my grandmother shouldn’t have even had an account. My point in all of this being DO BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

This company reached out to me over email, claiming that they had "attempted to contact" me multiple times and providing me a link where I can input payment details. However, I only ever received that first email contact, so of course it looks like a scam. They may have attempted to send snail mail to me, but because they didn't bother to check the address, or even confirm that the city "Yellow Cottage, CT" even exists (it doesn't), it of course never got to me. I only called the company because they had the street address correct, but when I called the only way to confirm was if I gave my social security number--another red flag. I hung up and had to call Eversource to confirm if it was real, apparently my electric bill at my last apartment had not been paid.

The email communication I received looked very scammy (even Google agrees), and combined with the fact that they didn't bother to double check the address they had was even correct leads me to believe that this is the kind of company that would "accidentally" lose my payment.

Edit after response from owner:
1. I check my spam folder regularly, and so I know there was no previous attempt to contact me. The very first attempt was late March 2024, with an email that claimed you attempted to contact me when you did not.
2. I know that my current address is correct with Eversource, since I receive mail from them. Since you have the address wrong, it the fault of your company. It is your responsibility to ensure that the information you have is correct.
3. In the days of phishing and the ubiquity of scams, it is also your responsibility to ensure that your communications are above board. You need to make sure that the information you have is correct. Sending me an email claiming that you had previously attempted to contact me when you did not is absolutely unacceptable and is a poor business practice.

I would give them ZERO stars. Their customer service agent (and I say one because she is the same person who answers my calls) is beyond rude and the "supervisor" even more rude. With the security breaches these days, I do not provide my name to anyone who calls me. If you have my number, you have my name. There is no reason to be rude when trying to conduct business, if it is above board. I am very aware of my credit at this time, and I certainly do NOT have an account with this company. STOP calling! I need to report...

There was no attempt made for collection. They felt an appropriate way of notification was to report it on my credit. They refuse to have it removed post payment. This is all for a balance I wasn't even aware I owed.

They say there were attempts made. I have reviewed my call logs, NOTHING. I do not have any 3rd party screening applications, that they have blamed for not being able to reach me.

Honestly not sure why everyone has had such a problem with them. I had a bill in my name for my mom and the last bill wasn’t paid. These people contacted me, told me the price and I paid it. There were a few times someone would pick up and it wouldn’t work and I had to call back, but honestly if the two people I talked to they were both nice. Also a lot of people are just complaining about the fact that they have to pay a bill that wasn’t paid. If you call them frustrated and mad about something expect the same thing in return. This is these people’s jobs. You get the energy you give. Be nice to these people. They were super kind. Thank you to the workers I talked to.

These people bully me to provide me them with my account, SS# and the worse part is that they are representing a company that committed fraud. They represent the people who stole money from my account. They did not want to provide me copies of the account/agreement "that I owned". I already called the creditor and my bank to handle the issue and I reported both the collection company and the creditor to the BBB. If there would be an option for zero Stars or negative stars I will give them --5

Amanda Pyle is rude and disrespectful from the start. She has no idea how to build a relationship before even saying what she was calling for. Train your collections "experts" better if you want to actually accomplish something!

According to my phone records Y'ALL called ME. I wouldn't call a company I know nothing about. Your representative did tell me what she was calling about, so I am not sure what phone record she sent you but I am more than happy to send out the recording I have of the conversation, the real one! Please feel free to reach back out to me directly if your company wants to be cooperative and I would be more than happy to speak with someone.

I was solicited by a number marked as spam to my personal cell phone. I called the number back, and had to speak to 5 total people on 2 phone calls to get a response. After giving my personal information I was told I had no debt and was called in error. When I asked how they received my name and cell phone number in error I was told there are many possibilities including someone using my name and phone number. The company was not able to give me written proof that I did or did not have a debt with them when I asked. Part of the reason for posting this review is for documentation purposes. Additionally the 3rd of 5 people that I spoke with told me she had already sent me a certified letter and im clearly lying (this was before I gave my personal info which I highly regret giving to rep #4.

Rep #3 either had told me a blatant lie, or #4 and #5 were lying. Either way this company is using deceptive tactics in either A. Lying in the form #3 making up things to pressure me for information or #4 and 5 lying about me not actually having a debt to pay- which if I did I would pay immediately.

I assume most of the poor reviews are on here because people are upset about having a debt collected. This review is about NOT having a debt, trying to work with the company, and being talked to like
A convicted criminal in a court room.
