Full disclosure, in addition to being a teacher at Fusion Academy I am also a parent. My high school aged son has always had a difficult time academically and has been disinterested in anything having to do with school. He recently started attending Fusion and we have seen such an amazing change in a short time. The one to one teacher student classroom has been instrumental in helping him stay engaged and understand what is happening in class. He has even started to talk to me about school and what he is excited about learning. I can't emphasize how much good this school has done for my son. He is even talking about going to college now!

My daughter started at Fusion academy in September. She was behind and struggling in math. We heard about Fusion Academy and from day one I am pleased to say they were open arms with my daughter and she was able to join their tutoring team immediately. She has moved her math grade up one whole grade level and has much more confidence! No more tears while working on math! Yay!! The team at Fusion Academy are extremely involved, give one on one attention, and truly care about their students! I highly recommend Fusion Academy.

There are not enough positive adjectives to use to describe Fusion, Huntington Beach. They brought my son out of his dark place where he believed he was not a good human because of previous school trauma. As a result, he has absolutely flourished both in academics and attitude! Teachers approach students with kindness and compassion, meeting each student where the student is at. They then take them along the road of academics and social-emotional development as far as the student can go. Because they taught from the heart, my son is back and thriving!! Thank you, Fusion Academy!

We came to know of Fusion when the HB school system did not provide us with adequate opportunity. My son, then a freshman and I went on a quest to find tutoring and supplementary classes to enrich his academic arena.
Fusion was the school we selected. The experience was wonderful right from the starting interview. The admission officer and the process was very sympathetic and understanding.
We worked with Fusion as an after school program in a few subjects. English, Math, Science, etc.
Over the years, we have some outstanding teachers, Ms. Mira, Ms. Jasmine, Mr. Andy, Mr Israel, and Mr. Kevin. They made great contributions to my son's accomplishment. Andy helped with SAT vocab and comprehension. These teachers really did care about him! They were really into helping my son, they worked with him at his pace and took pride in what they do.
Although my son took the SAT for the first time after a few years, Andy's methodology and lessons still stay with him.
I came to know of Ms. Julie Pineda, Director of Student Development, early on. She truly is a gift to me, as a parent and a student. We can always count on her to place my son with the correct personality of teacher. And she seems to know exactly how to help this boy to understand which was the right course, and how to help him to achieve his very best. Her enthusiasm and personality rubbed off on my son in a very encouraging way.
As a result of Julie's assistance of scheduling and direction, we were able to take a complete course Geometry at Fusion during the second semester and Summer of 8th Grade. After completion, we were in time for the school district placement test, he scored 85%! My son was placed into Alg 2/Trig as a freshman.
With the approval of the school counselor, we went back to Fusion for more classes during high school and my son scored As with the help of these wonderful teachers. Finally, he was able to polish up a transcript that showed his hard work. Because of these extraordinary people at Fusion, my son knew he could do well by working diligently. He continued to work very hard to maintain his As and Bs throughout high school.
Today, we scored 1390 on SAT and were admitted into Loyola Marymount with an early decision. He is going to major in Computer Science. His path is intact.

This school has been exactly what my son needed to be successful with his academics. The teachers and staff support his needs and are extremely patient with him as he is working to become a stronger student. There is constant feedback and they are willing to go the extra mile. As a parent, this type of attention and education has created a stress-free at home environment with him because they offer so much support for his lessons and homework. I am very grateful to the teachers and staff for their continuous support.

Our son has been at Fusion Academy Huntington Beach for over 3 years now and we couldn't be happier. It has been a fantastic experience for our son and for us! He went from a A/B student with one C to a straight A student with several Advanced/Honors classes! He loves going to school and is sad when the weekend comes and he can't go to school. For us parents it's like a dream blended with my wildest dreams for what a school could be. I find them to say what they mean and do what they say. It is such a breath of fresh air. Everyone I have met there is totally engaged with all the students and really know their stuff. I have learned so much from them. From the person at the front desk all the way up to the head of school, such a team effort. They truly love what they do and it shows! I highly recommend them.

I was a teacher for few years right after college (before graduate school). As an educator and parent, I am looking for the best environment to inspire and stimulate my child's interests in learning and thirst for knowledge. We have been looking for the right middle/high school for 2nd child and interviewed many schools in the region. We are very happy to have finally found Fusion Academy at H.B.
My 2nd child skipped a grade when she was in kindergarten due to her academic performance. She attended an academically rigorously private school till 6th grade and continuously scored top of the chart in all the gifted academic national testings. She also demonstrates excellent sport talent which requires her to travel around the world for competitions; as a result, finding the right high school for her had become a real challenge. Both my husband and I grew up in the public school environment, personally we would really prefer public school environment. However, meeting the staff at Fusion Academy at Huntington Beach really made an impression on both of us. We were not disappointed as our daughter really thrives and enjoys in their loving, caring and encouraging environment. We are extremely happy with the staff and learning environment there and would highly recommend Fusion Academy H.B. to anyone.

Thanks to Fusion my son loved school again, excelled and got into almost every college he applied to. The love and compassion of the teachers, director, staff, etc. changed his life. So glad he found Fusion with his own research and I had an open mind to try it out!
